Fommy Product Review: Overview: Body Glove has been around for over 50 years, and while they started out making wetsuits they have ventured forth into other areas; providing excellent products in swimming, running and now mobile phone protection, and like all their products, this Universal Scuba Cellsuit provides excellent protection and versatility as well.
-belt clip only rotates 90 degrees each direction Durability: The case itself was the most impressive part of this "case", it stood up to my typical array of damage and only came out with a single scratch that took a bit of force to make, so this case is going to take a while for you to destroy if you are abusive, otherwise this thing should basically last forever. The material (neoprene) proved to be extremely resistant and shock proof, a winning combination. Design/Functionality: Well, as a Universal case, this one kind of falls flat on its face. I was very impressed with some of Body Gloves other Universal designs, but this one doesnt live up to the name at all. The case it too small and not stretchable enough to accommodate a wide range of devices. Instead, it works well on smaller phones, especially small candy bar design phones; most modern full sized smartphones just dont fit in at all or are an uncomfortably tight fit for this case. If you do posses a smaller device though, its a great fit and extremely convenient. Then we have the belt clip, not only is the belt clip made completely out of plastic, it only ratchets a meager 45 degrees in each direction. The plastic does seem to hold up fairly well, but its an immediate red flag for me. I really think they need to look at a serious redesign for the clip though overall. Conclusion: This is a pretty nice case, but I really dont think Universal is an appropriate title for this one. |
